The Plan

#TakeTheBigGameThere

As a community you helped take The Big Game to #1 on Apple.

What's next?

How far will the Big GAme Go?

It was a momentous achievement for the show to create a musical in a month and then to launch it and see it overtake the likes of Lin Manuel Miranda.

It has arguably been the show’s most significant achievement since departing ESPN, and this achievement has the opportunity to become even more extraordinary.

The show has repeatedly mentioned wanting to get The Big Game nominated for a GRAMMY for Best Musical Album. It’s been said that the way they have chosen to do this is a grassroots campaign.

That’s once again calling on the fans to step up and keep making
The Big Game relevant.

So what are some things that you, the fan, could do to #TakeTheBigGameThere?

keep streaming

If 12K can follow @TheSlowReport in a day then The Big Game can have a lot more montly listeners.
In 2021, after over 6 weeks and several viral Tik Tok and Instagram streams, Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear wrote the 15 songs for The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical. This album would later win the 2022 GRAMMY for Best Musical Album. Sound familiar? Similarly, The Big Game was also written, recorded, and produced in a short time, launched to great success, and came from a new or unorthodox origin for a musical. The key is continued relevance. I.e. more streaming. As football season approaches, what better time is there to stream a musical about football? Snag a 3-month Spotify trial and listen ad-free until September nominations.

Engage on Social Media

Listen, boomers, get it together. I know you grew up on sports radio and just barely managed to find the show on podcasts. Maybe you’re not even sure what Youtube is, but you’re gonna need to sign up for a Twitter, Insta, and Tik Tok now and start having your grandkids help you make viral content about The Big Game. Just kidding. If you’re a boomer, you probably listen to Cowherd.

Woof, have you got it tough? 401k is getting hammered, and you’re just burning money on his Blazing 5 picks. You can still turn things around if you super follow Mike Ryan and get his inside gambling advice. HE’S GAMBLING AGAIN! Now is the perfect time to start talking about The Big Game again. Football season is coming. What better way to engage with the upcoming football season than to celebrate the past season by sharing your love for The Big Game? Are you “All In” on your team this year? Here’s some ideas:
    • Maybe you want Brady to know you think he’s the “G.O.A.T.”
  • Is your team’s trip to “The Playoffs” in the cards?
  • Who knows, maybe Tom Brady will comment on a tweet of yours.
  • You might inspire Zach Wilson by sharing “The Jets” with him, and he might try to contact your mom to send you a thank you card.
  • Whatever it is, keep talking about and creating content around The Big Game.

If the show wants to get nominated for a GRAMMY, fans also want that.

Let’s chip in together again and keep listening and talking about The Big Game to see how far it can go.

PLUS, we will have some contests around streaming and tweeting about The Big Game!
